Throughout the short history of Warzone, various weapons have skyrocketed in popularity after players find an unbeatable combination of attachments. Despite the best efforts of Raven Software’s weapon balancing, a new gun rises to the top of the pile.

Across 17 seasons of post-launch content, a small selection of the arsenal dominated due to their overpowered nature. Whether it was the fast-firing FFAR 1 from Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare’s Kar98k marksman rifle, there’s always one that stands out from the crowd.

With the launch of Warzone 2 on the horizon, players are looking back at their favourite broken guns that appeared across Verdansk and Caldera.

Warzone's top broken guns

The topic came to the attention of the community following a post from Reddit user “mongolmark23.” The post contains a three-minute video showcasing a variety of weapons that managed to eliminate an opponent in the blink of an eye.

As players took a stroll down memory lane, many believe the DMR 14 tactical rifle from Black Ops Cold War was the “most broken” Warzone gun in history closely followed by the akimbo Diamatti pistols.

Instead of naming a particular gun, others claim C4 was extremely overpowered. “I used to love the C4 before the nerf,” says one user. “You used to be able to chuck those things like frisbees and blow up a Bertha from 100 feet away,” claims another.

Other notable mentions include the RPG that destroyed anything standing in its way and the infamous R9-0 shotgun armed with dragon’s breath rounds. Let’s hope Infinity Ward can maintain some kind of balance in the early stages of Warzone 2 and prevent some of the arsenal from causing chaos on Al Mazrah.
