The movement mechanics in Warzone 2 often cause debate within the community. Whether it’s the lack of slide-cancelling or the inability to use armour plates while sprinting, most members of the community think they’ve got the magic formula to improve Call of Duty’s battle royale.
As part of the Season 3 update, developers unveiled huge movement changes in a bid to increase the pace of play in addition to the Intervention sniper rifle and another dose of weapon balancing in an attempt to shake up the existing meta.
Despite the changes to movement, those dropping into the action claim the adjustments haven’t made any difference to Warzone 2 whatsoever.
Has Warzone 2 movement changed?
According to Reddit user Mrheadshot0, the movement feels exactly the same as it did in Season 2, much to the annoyance of fans hoping a new season would address the issue.
“Nothing feels faster at all,” claims the player. “The sliding doesn’t feel fast. The dolphin dive shooting also doesn’t feel faster.” Judging by the reaction of other community members, they’re not feeling much of a change either. “It’s the exact same,” comments another fan growing tired of Warzone 2.
Others don’t seem surprised by the lack of radical changes that arrived in Season 3. “Not surprised lol. Anyway, see you guys in season 4,” replies another frustrated player. Is there a possibility of the Warzone 2 cycle failing to recover from its glaring flaws due to the failure of acknowledging community feedback?
Movement is just one of several areas where there’s room for improvement. With only two more seasons before the end of the Modern Warfare 2 cycle, is there time for Infinity Ward and Raven Software to steady the ship? It’s clear further adjustments are required to make Warzone 2 great again.
