Since it launched, Warzone 2 has experienced its fair share of game-breaking bugs and glitches. Over the course of two seasonal updates, Infinity Ward and Raven Software have attempted to fix Call of Duty’s battle royale with varying degrees of success.
Ahead of the Season Three update, fans are looking forward to the return of the Intervention sniper rifle alongside a brand-new Battle Pass packed with new content to obtain. Many members of the community are already preparing to jump into Plunder once again.
Aside from the new content, the senior creative director for Raven Software is teasing a ‘new dawn,’ leaving the community excited for what the next update has in store.
Is Warzone 2 entering a new dawn?
Ted Timmins, senior creative director at Raven Software who was largely responsible for the Pacific era, teased numerous changes are on the way to Warzone 2.
“Ranked is going to change everything,” states Timmins. “I’ve never seen such a packed season with updates from multiple studios.” Although ranked isn’t arriving when Season Three launches, the statement from Timmins suggests there’s much more than just new guns and game modes to enjoy.
The statement has led to plenty of speculation among fans wondering if Raven Software is making adjustments to the slow movement mechanics and lightning-fast time to kill. With such high stakes, some fans are concerned if the update fails to deliver. “If this update isn’t how CoD is supposed to be, it will be dead,” comments one fan.
A slow pace of play and fast time to kill has resulted in numerous content creators returning to Caldera in recent weeks. Depending on what changes are made in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, will content creators and other battle royale fans return to the action?
