According to dataminers, one of those requests will be granted very soon.

@ValorLeaks has leaked a number of new upcoming game modes.
The information was found within the Valorant game code.

It is difficult to determine the details of these modes from the information we have.
However, the community has suggested that Alt 6 may be an arena shooter.
The orbs suggest you potentially upgrade your gun over the match or rounds.
A lot of Valorant players are calling for a 1v1 or 2v2 mode.
We'll have to wait and see if any more information comes out about these new modes.
