Publishing giant Ubisoft is reportedly enlisting talent for the development of a brand new project.
Several job ads for their Sydney office have been posted, seemingly pointing towards the establishment of a new studio.
Ubisoft Recruiting For A New Studio in Australia
The French company has posted in-depth job listings for their Sydney office. Previously known strictly for sales, the station now boasts game development as one of its activities reading:
Welcome to Ubisoft Australia The Sydney office comprises 29 people who thrive on bringing Ubisoft games to the Australian market via marketing, sales, operations, finance and game development.
The Sydney office looks to be collaborating with the San Francisco studio. And even though details of the project remain unknown, the work ads seem to point to what features the game may entail. Specifically, Level Designer does emphasize "multiplayer map design experience a plus". So, it can be assumed the new production will entail online features.
Ubisoft is no stranger to multiplayer in which just yesterday, the French publishers confirmed a live-service model of Assassin's Creed is in development. Whether this venture will link into Assassin's Creed Valhalla's upcoming DLC 3 remains to be seen.
