Starfield Launching In 2021, '90% Chance' Of Full Reveal This Summer – Report

Starfield, Bethesda's next big RPG, could be fully revealed this year – and is targeting a 2021 launch date.

That's according to comments from VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb, who states that there's a '90% chance' that the game will get a full reveal this summer at an E3-style event.

Starfield Will Offer Bethesda's Largest Map Yet, According To Todd Howard

Grubb made the comments on a Dealer Gaming stream, before clarifying on Twitter that nothing is set in stone.

"Can we not make it sound so certain. I gave a percentage. Here's a better headline: Microsoft and Bethesda want to unveil Starfield this year, but people want lots of things", he noted, following a story from ResetEra.

The game was originally revealed at E3 2018, but other than a short teaser trailer, all Bethesda revealed was that its coming before Elder Scrolls VI.

After Microsoft purchased Bethesda, speculation has been rife that Starfield would be exclusive to Microsoft platforms.

In a recent roundtable discussion between heads of both companies, Xbox boss Phil Spencer had explained that "if you’re an Xbox customer, the thing I want you to know is this is about delivering great exclusive games for you that ship on platforms where Game Pass exists, and that’s our goal."

Todd Howard has previously explained that the game's map will be Bethesda's largest yet.
