This netcode allows the game to sustain online matches up to 200ms ping and can be useful for connections between players from different countries. Since Melty Blood Type Lumina has this netcode, players can rely on online play for this fighting game to deliver well.

Titles such as Guilty Gear Strive, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl are some of the fighting games that enjoyed a good following due to having these solid online play platform during this time where it's difficult to play locally with other players near each other.
