Is Resident Evil 3: Remake Coming to Switch?

Thanks to dataminer FluffyQuack, we know that within the demo's files is a reference for a notification along the lines of “this game has an autosave feature, please do not turn off your system" which directly references the Switch.

Increasing the intrigue is the demo's option to go straight to a store like PSN or Xbox Live to pre-order. Within the game's files is a link to the eShop.

With Resident Evil 3: Remake being a very graphically intensive game, we'd imagine a port may have been in development before being cancelled and these files are essentially just leftover parts.

That said, Resident Evil 7 was made available in Japan for streaming only, so there's always the chance Resi 3 Remake gets the same treatment.
