Primarily a support studio for multiple Sony franchises, studio head Hasnul Hadi tweeted that there is an opening for an animator.

We're looking for senior animators who can join our team in KL to become the core team for the SIE WWS Malaysia Studio. This is your chance to work with us to create the culture and team for the future! Plus it's @PlayStation ! #PlayHasNoLimitshttps://t.co/su8hMZnYMb

The job advertisement notes that the role would be for someone to work on one of Sony's “well-known and well-loved franchises”.

The listing notes “We are looking for talented, highly-motivated, and creative animators to breathe life into the next chapter of cinematic storytelling".

The focus is apparently on both "in-game and pre-rendered animation".

As noted by PushSquare, the general consensus seems to be that the studio is helping the publisher's San Diego studio which is allegedly working on a new Uncharted title.

That said, the studio's nature as a support team means it's likely contributing to multiple AAA PS5 titles at once.
