PS5 launch game Destruction AllStars delayed to 2021

Originally announced as a PS5 launch title, Lucid Games’ Destruction AllStars has been pushed back for a February release.

“We’ve decided to move the game’s release from November 2020 to February 2021, where it will be included for two months in PlayStation Plus at no additional cost,” Sony’s Pete Smith said in a blog post on Monday.

“Destruction AllStars is a multiplayer game that’s at its best when you’re competing with gamers online from all around the world. We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem on PS5, and what better way to do that than to provide the game to our PlayStation Plus members?”

Folks who had the game pre-ordered “via PlayStation Store, PlayStation.com, or at retail” will be issued a refund, Smith said.

The upcoming PlayStation exclusive is centered around free-for-all vehicular combat. You’ll be able to parkour around the arena, board other vehicles, and employ all manner of mayhem to blow up the other players.

Destruction AllStars features 16 playable heroes and 28 different rides.

The remaining launch lineup for PS5 includes Astro’s Playroom, Demon’s Souls, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Spider-Man Remastered, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure

The console hits shelves on November 12.
