The release of Sony's next-gen console is just around the corner and fans are excited to try out the upgraded hardware.
Despite the multiple new games releasing for the PlayStation 5, some users are looking to play PS4 titles on the next-gen console.
This is particularly important for PSVR users who want to use the accessory on the new console.
Sony has confirmed the PSVR is compatible with the PS5, however, a camera adapter will be required.
Let's check out how you claim your free camera adapter.
How To Claim Free Camera Adapter
In order to use your PSVR headset on the PS5, you'll need a camera adapter.
Sony is not charging users for this adapter and it can be claimed for free by any PSVR owner.
Follow the steps below:
- Head over to global.support.playstation.com/s/pscamera-adaptor
- Enter the PSVR serial number on the back of the Processor Unit
- Fill out the rest of the form with your name, email address and phone number etc
Sony has confirmed this adapter will not come with the PS5.
It will arrive separately and will need to be ordered by the user.
If you are experiencing any trouble with the process, contact PlayStation Support.
It's great to see Sony giving the camera adapter away for free rather than charging users.
Now all that's left to do is to wait out the last few weeks before the next-gen consoles finally arrive.
