Outer Wilds: Echoes Of The Eye Expansion Launches This September

Outer Wilds was a big hit for Annapurna Interactive back in 2019. Developed by Mobius, this action-aventure game saw us exploring the solar system, stuck within a 22-minute timeloop before a star goes supernova. Trying to discover the secrets of the Nomai, we're getting an expansion later this year.

Called "Echoes of the Eye", this was revealed during Annapurna Interactive's showcase, where creative director Alex Beachum teased "It's going to weave directly into the existing world and narrative". During this, he admitted previous players may have "very good questions" to how this expansion is possible.

Outer Wilds: Echoes Of The Eye Expansion Launches This September

An Outer Wilds expansion has been rumoured for sometime, after fans spotted Echoes of the Eye pop up on Steam's backend. That led to both Annapurna and Kelsey Beachum react to it directly on Twitter, offering no more than eye emojis.

It'll launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 28th. Previously, a Nintendo Switch version was confirmed but right now, we don't have a specific release date. All we know is that it's expected to arrive sometime this "holiday season", and we'll keep you updated as we learn more.
