No Man’s Sky has announced its 19th update, titled Outlaws, and it’s available today, meaning fans of the space exploration sim can experience new pirate-themed thrills right now. This comes after No Man’s Sky creator Sean Murray shared a pirate flag emoji on his Twitter the other day, and we know exactly why he did so: space pirates!
Sean Murray detailed what fans can expect from No Man’s Sky Outlaws on the PlayStation Blog, where it’s revealed that the game will now have smuggling, NPC recruitment, and much-improved space combat.
Not only can players fight space pirates, but they can even become one as well and form their own crew in this fairly hefty update.
No Man’s Sky’s Outlaws Update
As space pirates, players can partake in new pirate missions through the game’s Outlaw Stations. It’s here where No Man’s Sky fans can see if a pirate’s life is the one for them. Even if it isn’t, the game offers so much freedom, meaning you can still enjoy the improved spaceship controls or the other improvements arriving with this update.
You can download the No Man’s Sky Outlaws update right now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. No Man’s Sky is also coming to Nintendo Switch, though no firm release date for that port has been announced just yet.
