New Rocket League Update Will Change How You Play

Rocket League developers, Psyonix, have announced an upcoming update which will offer huge changes to the way you can play their game.

The free update will arrive in November with the option to “mutate”, allowing players to choose from presets and create custom settings.

Fans of Psyonix’s previous title, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, will be happy to know they’ll be able to play popular game modes from SARPBC such as “Cubic” and “Time Warp.” Other game modes were also mentioned including Moonball, Demolition, and more.

Players will now be able to create their own Custom Matches using the rules and settings of their choosing. Change the rules, the size and weight of the ball, alter gravity, and more. If you don’t feel like taking the time to create your own rules, the “Mutator Mashup” playlist will randomly select pre-created “mutated” games for you.

But wait there’s more! A hockey mode was teased for free December content, which provides players with another way to play Rocket League.

The announcement was also posted on the Steam Community blog, confirming players can enjoy the content on both PS4 and PC starting in November.
