Man Arrested In Shanghai For Attempted Assassination Of MiHoYo's Founders

His motive? A recent update that added bunny costumes and dance moves. This wasn't applied to the update in China, and its speculated that authorities would've deemed it inappropriate. However, Chinese players still got wind of it, sparking a backlash that led to its removal.

MiHoYo quickly backtracked on their plans, issuing the above statement and offering 500 Crystals as compensation to players. However, that wasn't enough for this assailant, and their planned attack occurred two days later.

Thankfully, this assailant was quickly arrested upon entry. Presently, we're awaiting more details about the incident, and it's likely those will emerge in the coming days.
