Super Moves and Super States

True to the source material, every character in Kimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Chronicles has special attacks similar to what they did in the series. Kamado Tanjiro has access to his Water Breathing and Sun Breathing attacks. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast also has their Breathing attacks including Murata.

Similar to the Naruto Ninja Storm Series, characters can enter an Awakening state to gain access to pull off the bigger attacks. The characters also have large finishing moves which can be used to deal massive damage on their foes if landed.

Defensive Mechanics

Kimetsu No Yaiba Hinokami Chronicles also has some defense systems which can help players survive their enemy's attacks. Players have a block which can be used to defend your characters from enemy attacks. Even the large attacks can be defended from. Other than the regular block, characters has a parry which can be used to stagger foes if they hit it and launch their own attack.

Lastly, the game also has a defensive system where players can spend all of the partner's meter to bail them out of a combo. Their partner character will swoop in to carry their teammate out of danger's way. Overall, these defensive systems can help players last longer in fights as long as these features are used.
