Iron Galaxy Manager Wishes They Could Make New Killer Instinct Game

Speaking with Segment Next in a recent interview, Iron Galaxy general manager Shekhar Dhupelia said the team has always wanted to continue working on Killer Instinct but needs the right opportunity to do so.

“We loved working on Killer Instinct, and we had a great time supporting that community,” Dhupelia said. “They still ask us to update that experience every day on social media and we really appreciate the enduring enthusiasm.

So it seems safe to say Iron Galaxy’s next project probably won’t be a new Killer Instinct game.

However, the team is working on a new next-gen project, and Dhupelia said Iron Galaxy will share more about it later this year.

It’s been five years since the last Killer Instinct content and almost 10 since Killer Instinct on Xbox One.

In other words, Killer Instinct is long overdue for a new game.
