While some GTA Online players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by getting up to wacky antics and spending all of their hard-earned cash.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what or who it should include, and have given up agonising over how you’ll earn back your current fortune if the new game includes tax mechanics, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
Currently, one player is doing just that via a rather unique and possibly illegal hobby, having decided to take on the persona of a yacht squatter.
Does your GTA Online yacht regularly receive visitors?
Their exploits are the subject of a thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from the squatter themselves, user RJSaxon27, who shared a photomontage of them hanging out on other players’ watercraft, captioning it: “(Got) bored of sitting around my own yacht, took a little trip, chilled at a few yachts, is yours here?”
Sadly, none of their fellow players in the thread owned any of the yachts pictured, though the vast majority of them did post the names of their sloops in order to allow RJSaxon27 to seek them out during future excursions.
Among these monikers were a number of amusing and inventive examples, from user Panthera_13_’s “She Took The Kids”, to captratbeard’s “HMS Waste of Money” and Loud_Supermarket_312’s “Oversized Canoe”.
Puns were also in plentiful supply thanks to user YayRadiation’s “Ship Happens”, This-Examination6893’s “B-Yacht-ch” and Rocket_Surgery83’s “Anchor Management”.
Meanwhile, I couple of players mused about the trouble they’d had arriving at a suitably funny name for their boats, with Call of Duty-loving user BlueBloodLive recounting: “One night I was drunk and decided to spend the money and change it to Yacht Der Untoten, then my friend suggested Yacht Der UnBoaten and I couldn't bring myself to spend more money to change it again.”
