While some GTA Online players are already looking forward to GTA 6’s eventual arrival, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer.

For those returning to the game for the first time in a few years, this can mean grinding up money by blasting through heists and Nightclub sales missions with reckless abandon and also getting behind the wheel for a couple of well-paying races once in a while.

Sadly for these enterprising individuals, making a quick buck can easily go wrong if you’re in too much of a rush, as one would-be mogul on Reddit has recently found out.

Have you ever lost a GTA fortune due to some sloppy driving?

Their misfortune is the subject of a recent thread in the GTA Online subreddit which began with a post by the player in question, user reddittravelleerr, who shared a clip of them driving a little too fast in the rain and getting into a collision which sent their van full of goods careening into the watery depths, captioning it: “(I) just started trying to sell business product, there goes at least $250k.”

Naturally, their fellow players were quick to suggest that taking the corner before the accident a little bit more sedately might have been the more sensible option, with user E-roticWarrior embracing their inner driving instructor by saying: “Given the fact that it's raining and the road conditions are obviously bad, I don't know, maybe you could ease up off the accelerator a bit. It's just a suggestion!”

Others suggested that taking that kind of risk might be worth it in a more dangerous scenario, for example, when being chased down by a griefer or two, but not when things look relatively safe.

On the other hand, some users suggested that reddittravelleerr’s choice of sales vehicle might not be ideal, with one saying: “This is like a greatest hits of what not to do with a Speedo.”, before suggesting that the addition of max armour plating and a plough to the van can lead to it being launched into the air by crashes.

Meanwhile, user mrbossmajor took the opportunity to score an easy dunk on the driving skills on show in the clip, joking: “This is the kind of person who would demand to be (the) driver in heists.”
