While many of GTA Online’s players actively avoid conflict in order to limit the chances of a griefer interrupting their get-rich-quick scheme, some of Los Santos’ current residents are still up for a scrap.

In the past, this has occasionally meant dressing up as aliens or soldiers from the American revolution in order to form two separate armies, but this time some players seem to have adopted more corporate identities in their quest for combat.

So, next time you log into Los Santos, get ready to watch out for combatants decked out in the colours of Sprunk and E-cola.

GTA players seem primed for another brightly coloured battle

The first of a few threads on this topic in the GTA Online subreddit began with a post from a member of team E-cola, user BobJohnson128, who shared a clip of their battle with some players decked out in Sprunk gear, captioning it: “Teaching these sprunklets a lesson.”

Some of their fellow players were quick to point out the similarities between this conflict and the alien war, with user Stagger_Step saying: “History finna repeat itself” and Shrek-It_Ralph declaring: “This is World War 2.”

The thread also saw a number of users declare their allegiance for each side, with user CowardlyMaya_ yelling: “You should be taught a lesson! #Sprunk4Life!” and Futuristicbus61 adding: “Sprunk gang on top!”

On the other side of the carbonation coin, user analnymous23 issued the rallying cry: “e-Cola tastes like [the] tears of [the] Sprunk team” and KlassicNinja referred to the opposing team as: “Sprunk skunks.”

Meanwhile, user Snak3D0ct0r started a different thread with a post featuring a video of them blowing up an E-cola truck via an Oppressor Mark 2’s missiles, captioning it: “The war is on! Go Sprunk or go home!”

Naturally, E-cola fans didn’t take this too well, with user Jiposaurus asking: “Is this a threat?” and AstroBlast0ff saying: “So you have chosen …. Death.”
