While some GTA players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.

One way to do just that is by installing some mods to spice up your story mode shenanigans via things like Baywatch-inspired missions, intense battles with zombies or even Yakuza Zero-style disco dancing.

If you’re someone who’s grown a little weary of GTA Online despite its recent additions and updates, but still want to keep your money-grinding skills up to scratch while you mess around as Michael, Franklin or Trevor, a new mod might be worth taking a look at.

Have you been craving the ability to make a quick withdrawal from someone else’s bank account in GTA 5?

The mod in question is called ‘ATM Robberies’ and is the work of modder Romanops, whose previous project gave Los Santos’ would-be Union Depository robbers the chance to make some extra cash via exporting stolen vehicles.

This time, they’ve decided to provide the trio with another means of making bank that’s similar in ethos to the improvised armoured security truck robberies that sometimes appear as random events as you’re cruising the streets of San Andreas.

As you can see in the video above, once the mod’s installed, all you need to do to rob one of the many ATMs you can find in various places across the map is to attach a sticky bomb to it, take a few steps back and then press detonate, with the explosion causing the machine to throw out a random amount of money.

At this point, you’ll have 30 seconds to scoop up all of the bills from the ground before making your escape ahead of the cops showing up at the scene. Once you’re safely away with your haul, you’ll have to remember which machine you’ve just robbed, as it’ll take seven in-game days to fill back up with cash.

If the loud and obvious approach isn’t your style, you could also try out danistheman262’s ‘ATM Robberies (Controller Support)’, which allows you to break into cash machines via a hacking minigame instead.

In order to get either of these mods up and running as intended, you’ll first need to grab Script Hook V and Crosire’s ‘Community Script Hook V .NET’.

Regardless of whether you’re now inconveniencing innocent NPCs who just want to check their bank balances, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
