Elden Ring players are discussing which in-game enemies they could realistically beat up in real life

An enemy from Elden Ring.

When they’re not trying to complete seemingly impossible runs through the game or raging at their own mimic tears, Elden Ring players can be a pretty light-hearted bunch.

After all, when you spend lots of time being mercilessly slaughtered by bosses you’re randomly trying to beat with a drawing pad or while only using one hand, a good sense of humour goes a long way.

Sometimes this manifests in the guise of a discussion about the most iconic NPC voice lines, a controversial hat tier list, or even a Thomas the Tank Engine-themed mod, but currently, it’s taking the form of an intense debate regarding which of the game’s enemies players reckon they could beat up in real life.

Which of Elden Ring’s enemies would you be willing to 1v1 IRL?

This important topic is the subject of a thread on the subreddit r/eldenring, which began with a post from user _Ankyloglossia_, who posted an image of some innocent crustaceans and said: “Realistically if you had to throw hands with any enemy in Elden Ring, what is the strongest enemy you think you could defeat? Personally, I could lay out the small crabs, I think.”

Their fellow tarnished were quick to offer a range of potential targets that they’d be open to throwing down with, such as user Lucidiously, whose assessment of their abilities seemed just as pessimistic as _Ankyloglossia_’s, leading them to quip: “I think I'd stand a decent chance against one of the old crawling albinaurics.”

On the other hand, some users were a lot more confident in their bottom-kicking talents, with the aptly-named Confident-Welder-266 declaring: “I could totally take Radahn.” and Accomplished_Panda11 asserting: “I could fade out a noble. Like not a godskin, but like the raggedy dudes walking around everywhere.”

Meanwhile, user craniel-mandark tearfully admitted that their best bet would likely be to take own their own mimic tear, leading pbmm1to savagely joke: “just wait for it to fat roll.”

User RaceAF72 exhibited no fear, simply going for an enemy from the game they’d like to get one good uppercut in on before going out in blaze of glory, saying: “I don't know about strongest, but I would punch Gatekeeper Gostoc straight in the teeth.”, to which 30thnight retorted: “If you miss, he's going to curb-stomp your head like Godrick.”
