With Diablo 4 set to arrive on June 2, its fans are counting down the hours until they can head back into hell and start scything their way through enemies.

While some are passing the time by reading as many reviews as possible, trying to decipher what the game’s story might have in store or organising a party of friends to accompany them in their adventures, others are planning out exactly what kind of build they’d like to use this time around.

However, when it comes to the last of those options, it doesn’t seem like everyone’s adopting the kind of scientific precision you might expect, having decided instead to let a stranger on the internet make the choice for them based on two bits of information about their personality.

Which build are you planning on playing as when you jump into Diablo 4?

The efforts of this Diablo fan, user Goober_Scooper, to assign their fellow hellraisers a fitting playstyle can be found in a recent thread on the subreddit r/diablo4, which they kicked off by declaring: “Can’t decide [which] class to play? I’ll decide for you!” and outlining that all they’d need to do so was the person’s favourite game and food.

They ended up having a much larger number of people than expected take them up on this offer, such as user SlackerDao, whose response of Final Fantasy Tactics and “Anything with peanut butter [in it]” led Goober_Scooper to recommend they become a Twisting Blade Rogue.

On the other hand, Albion Online and Pizza loving user Juliakis saw their answers yield the recommended career path of an Earth Bear Druid, causing them to retort: “God, that's what I want to play. Scary!” while Crow-Queen’s affinity for Borderlands and ice cream somehow made them the ideal Storm Wolf Druid.

Elsewhere in the thread, users Icy-Working661 and AntiEcho7 saw their picks of Elden Ring paired with cheesy crackers and Skyrim paired with popcorn see them selected to become a Rend Barbarian and Whirlwind Barbarian respectively.

Meanwhile, a few of the lost souls looking for build recommendations provided Goober_Scooper with answers that were a little more out there, such as user evandr0s’ declaration that they can’t stop playing the unfortunately fictional Hello Kitty Island Adventure, which contributed to them being classified as a 'Blood Surge Necromancer.’
