Diablo 2 is widely regarded as one of the best games in the entire series.

While Diablo 4 is still in development, a remaster of the second game is sure to excite long-term fans of the franchise, and give newcomers a chance to jump in.

Here's everything we know about Diablo 2: Resurrected.

What Is Diablo 2: Resurrected?

Diablo 2: Resurrected is a remaster of the classic action-RPG from 2000, and also includes the 2001 Lord of Destruction expansion content.

As for upgrades, the game now runs in high-resolution 3D and has Dolby 7.1 surround sound.

All 27-minutes of cutscenes have been remade entirely, and add controller support and up to eight-player co-op.

The game is slated to launch in 2021, although an exact date hasn't been confirmed.

If you can't wait, a technical alpha will let players jump in early - just head to Diablo2.com.
