Destiny 2 Beyond Light Duality Exotic: How To Get Duality Shotgun And Complete Walk The Line Catalyst Quest

After a long wait, Destiny 2 Beyond Light is finally live.

That means new quests, lore and plenty more to unlock, uncover and enjoy.

It also means plenty of new exotics to unlock.

One of these new exotics is an exotic shotgun named 'Duality'.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light – How to get the Duality Exotic Shotgun

There's only one way to unlock the exotic Duality shotgun in Destiny 2 and that's via the games new season pass for 'Season of the Hunt'.

Even then there are two very different ways to gain the new exotic.

If you’ve purchased the season, then you can get it right away as a gift at rank 1.

Alternatively, if you have opted to not buy the new premium pass for the season, then you can still earn the exotic through the free season pass, but you'll need to reach rank 50.

Walk The Line Catalyst Quest

Once you have the weapon, you can earn a Catalyst that increases Duality's range by 20 and its magazine size by 2 – speak to Banshee in the Tower to kick things off.

It's not too tough to get, either, with the quest called "Walk The Line".

You'll need to earn points from Strike playlist completions and Nightfalls, Gambit matches, or Crucible matches.

The joy of that is that you can choose how you play.

"Crucible wins, Gambit wins, and Nightfall: The Ordeal completions on Legend difficulty or higher grant the most efficient progress".

Once you've done that, you'll need to kill 50 Guardians with Duality, or 100 enemies with Duality Slugs (firing while ADS).

How To Get Destiny 2 Duality Exotic Shotgun After Season Of The Hunt?

It's worth remembering as well that you need not worry about missing out should you go the free route.

With the launch of Beyond Light, seasonal content will no longer rotate out as a season ends.

Instead, it will hang around until the end of Year 4. So whilst Season of the Hunt does have an end date around February 2021, the content will still be available for some time.

To make that crystal clear, here's Bungie's official line on the matter: "Starting with Season of the Hunt, most of the Seasonal content and all of the sweet gear will be sticking around for all of year 4. We hope this alleviates some of the FOMO that has been present with past Seasons. Now you can jump back in and experience past Seasons’ story, activities, and loot anytime during year 4."
