The Cyberpunk 2077 release date has been delayed until September 17th 2020.

One of the most hotly anticipated games of the year has been delayed until the later stages of the year.

We will update this page with more information as it comes!

Release Date

Originally, scheduled to release on the 16th April, Cyberpunk 2077 has now been pushed back until 17th September 2020.

Why Has It Been Delayed?

The simple reasoning that the team at CD Projekt Red have used is that they want to playtest, fix and polish the game.

Marcin Iwinski and Adam Badowski released a statement:

"We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect".

Considering this game was originally announced back in 2012, there's even more pressure now for this game to deliver.

Fans around the world will no doubt be unhappy about this news, but if the extra time pays off to help deliver the polish gamers deserve it can only be for the best.

It's going to be tough for the game considering it will launch potentially a month before the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

January - The Month Of Delays

Cyberpunk 2077 isn't the only game to be delayed this month, we've also had news that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Avengers Game and Season 2 of Modern Warfare has been delayed.
