September 19, 2023: Another zombies teaser has appeared. This time around players may have seen the first look at another new character.

Zombies have featured in several Call of Duty titles as a co-op alternative to the single-player campaign and multiplayer. With Activision continuing to share information on Modern Warfare 3, intel on the game's undead is starting to appear.

Ahead of the multiplayer beta, Sledgehammer Games has showcased MW3's full map list, but players are split after comparing them to the original releases. The developer has also confirmed a popular weapon mechanic is making its return.

The next wave of teasers from the 'unknown caller' has showcased the first look at MW3 zombies, potentially revealing a brand-new character that'll be looking to take on the latest undead outbreak.

Modern Warfare 3 zombies teaser appears

Players taking part in the text-based teaser have received a message citing an 'uncontained incident', which comes with a screenshot of a burning vehicle.

Although there's no direct mention of zombies in the message, players on Reddit believe they've narrowed down what it means, with Sledgehammer Games already having revealed information on other areas of the game. One player says: "It's gotta be (zombies). Supposedly, they'll show it on October 5."

On October 5, the Call of Duty Next event takes place. It will see Sledgehammer Games reveal more about zombies, multiplayer, and give a closer look at what the future of Warzone has in store.

To add further fuel to the fire, notable leaker HeyImAlaix claims more information on MW3 zombies could appear over the course of Season 6, which is scheduled to begin on September 27.

It's unclear what kind of information on the undead will appear and as with all leaks, it's important to take this with a pinch of salt until further information appears. Perhaps the undead will play a role in the Warzone Halloween event expected to take place in October.

In addition to the text message above, players have now received another containing an image of an identity card. The Russian writing on the card all but confirms MW3 zombies is a continuation of the story that started in Black Ops Cold War.

Will the undead arrive in Al Mazrah to start another chapter of the Call of Duty zombies? We'll have to wait and see.
