Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War: Split Screen Glitch Turns Players Invisible

The addition of split screen to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was met with widespread positivity.

The mode provides players with another way to play the latest instalment of the storied first-person shooter franchise.

Although playing the game alongside your duo using the feature is a lot of fun, a bug has been discovered, and it’s turning players invisible.

Said to occur after playing a few multiplayer matches, the bug sees other player models disappear completely, leaving their weapon floating around as they continue to move around the map.

Twitter user @kittyfu93 provided a prime example of the bug and it’s understandable to see why players are getting frustrated.

The invisibility glitch is the latest in a long line of bugs that have plagued the game since its release on November 13th, 2020.

Bugs have ranged from camouflage challenges failing to track, leaving players unable to unlock Mastery camos for specific weapons in the arsenal, to other split screen issues where tanks fail to load into a match properly.

Considering Black Ops developer Treyarch is synonymous for creating some of the best Call of Duty titles in the history of the franchise, the number of bugs and glitches found in Black Ops Cold War has certainly been disappointing.

How To Fix Invisibility Glitch

There only appears to be one fix that solves the invisibility issue in split screen.

To fix the bug, simply exit the game and restart the console. This should stop the issue from happening but if it does appear again, repeat the process.

It is unclear as to when Treyarch will implement a fix for this issue. Considering the large numbers of players that are experiencing the issue, it is likely a permanent solution will make an appearance in a future update.
