After a short delay, the launch of the first season of post-launch content for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is here!
Beginning on December 16th, players will be able to play on brand-new multiplayer maps, access new weaponry, begin grinding through 100 Tiers of the Battle Pass, and so much more.
With the start of a brand-new season, players have become accustomed to new weapons being introduced into the arsenal and for Season One of Black Ops Cold War, it’s no different.
A range of unique weapons will be available to use by reaching specific Battle Pass Tiers and by completing in-game challenges.
One of the brand-new weapons is the Sledgehammer melee weapon. It’s the perfect tool for taking out an opponent that gets too close for comfort.

How To Unlock Sledgehammer Melee Weapon
To unlock the Sledgehammer, you must kill two or more players rapidly using the combat knife in 15 different matches.
Once the challenge has been completed, the Sledgehammer will appear in the Melee weapon category and you’ll also receive 1000 XP for completing it.
With some multiplayer maps being too big for the combat knife to be effective, what is the best way to complete the challenge quickly?

In order to complete this challenge quickly, we recommend jumping into Nuketown 24/7.
The small nature of the map will enable you to get close to the opposition, making your trusty combat knife extremely effective.
Choose to sprint around the map slashing any enemy that gets in your way or opt for a more passive approach and hide in one of the two houses to time your sneaky play to perfection.
