FARA 83 Cold War Loadout, Best Attachments And Setup For Your Class

Season 6 of Black Ops Cold War is in its early stages and despite the additions of brand new weapons into the arsenal, the FARA 83 is still as deadly as ever. Used by the Argentine army since 1984, the weapon did feature in the Falklands War and is still used by the army today.

Armed with a consistent rate of fire along with minimal levels of recoil, the FARA 83 is the perfect weapon of choice when locking down specific areas of the map in order to support your teammates.

After spending time testing a range of different attachment combinations, what exactly is the best FARA 83 loadout?

FARA 83 Black Ops Cold War

Heavily resembling the Galil assault rifle from the first Black Ops title, the FARA 83 features an incredibly fast rate of fire alongside minimal levels of recoil, even with no attachments equipped.

Thanks to the lack of recoil, the FARA 83 excels in long-distance duels with opponents that often have the upper hand in terms of positioning.

In close-quarters combat, the rifle can be difficult to control but with a laser sight equipped, its accuracy when firing from the hip is dramatically improved.

FARA 83 Cold War Best Attachments

  • Muzzle Brake 5.56 (Muzzle)
  • 18.1” Takedown (Barrel)
  • Bruiser Grip (Underbarrel)
  • Speed Tape (Handle)
  • Wire Stock (Stock)

This combination of attachments provides increases in firepower, speed, and accuracy, making the FARA 83 one of the strongest weapons to use in Black Ops Cold War.

The choice of barrel increases damage range by 150%, improving performance in long-distance engagements while the additions of speed tape and wire stock reduce the sprint to fire time and increase aim down sight speed, enabling you to lock onto a target in the blink of an eye.

The FARA 83 comes with a solid iron sight but if you want to equip an optic for a crystal-clear view of the opposition, replace the muzzle brake with an optic of your choice.

FARA 83 Cold War Best Class

Secondary

1911

  • Muzzle Brake .45 APC (Muzzle)
  • 18.1” Takedown (Barrel)
  • Steady Aim Laser (Body)
  • 12 RND Speed Mag (Magazine)
  • Speed Tape (Handle)

The 1911 pistol continues to be the strongest secondary weapon in Black Ops Cold War thanks to its semi-automatic firing mechanism and deadly damage output. It’s the perfect crutch weapon to pull out when running low on ammo or you need to deal with any enemies at close-range.

Lethal

Semtex

Selecting a lethal piece of equipment is always a personal preference, but we’ve gone with the trusty Semtex grenade to provide additional explosive damage. Ideal for clearing out compact spaces, a well-placed Semtex often results in a couple of eliminations.

Tactical

Smoke Grenade

Smoke grenades are now very difficult to see through, making them the perfect piece of improvised cover if you need to escape a sticky situation or if you want to distract the enemy.

Throw it in an open area of the map to block off a sightline to give yourself plenty of time to flank behind enemy lines and make a play worthy of the game-ending highlights!

Field Upgrade

Gas Mine

Perhaps one of the strongest, and most annoying, Field Upgrades is the Gas Mine.

Once activated, it’s almost impossible for an opponent to escape the toxic plume and is the perfect tool to earn some extra kills. Be sure to place it in a dark corner to prevent players from destroying it before it has a chance to make an impact.

Perks

  • Flak Jacket
  • Tactical Mask
  • Assassin
  • Scavenger
  • Ghost
  • Ninja

This set of Perks fully utilises the Perk Greed Wildcard which allows you to select two Perks from the same category.

Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask provide increased resistance to lethal and tactical equipment while Assassin and Scavenger give you the ability to earn bonus score for eliminating enemies on a killstreak and to resupply extra ammo from fallen opponents.

Ghost and Ninja are the perfect Perks to select when running this loadout. Ghost keeps you hidden from any Spy Planes when moving around the map while Ninja mutes your footsteps to almost inaudible levels, allowing you to sneak up behind opponents without alerting them to your position.

Wildcard

Perk Greed

As mentioned above, Perk Greed allows you to equip a total of six Perks to the loadout.

It’s ideal when the FARA 83 is deadly in nearly every imaginable scenario with just five attachments equipped.

Is The FARA 83 Good In Black Ops Cold War?

YES! The FARA 83 is easily one of the best assault rifles to be using in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer. I would highly recommend using this weapon in your loadout.

There are a variety of playstyles that prove effective when armed with the FARA 83. The fast rate of fire lends itself to aggressive play as it’s very easy to outgun an enemy when involved in the action.

For those that prefer a slower pace, the FARA 83 is equally effective when holding down a lane and picking off opponents as they stray into your crosshair.
