Beyond Good and Evil 2's Last-Gen Versions Reportedly Cancelled


Four years since Ubisoft lifted the lid on Beyond Good And Evil 2 at E3 2017, we've not seen much of this upcoming prequel since 2019. While we've seen a few smaller updates since that reveal, Ubisoft's silence has led to speculation about the game's fate.

While they've advised that Beyond Good And Evil 2 hasn't been cancelled, Ubisoft may be dropping the last-gen console editions. As reported by Italy24 News, they advised the game will officially launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, dropping PS4 and Xbox One editions.

Though Ubisoft never formally announced which platforms Beyond Good And Evil 2 will arrive on, the French publisher's past release record all-but-confirms a multiplatform release is likely. Now that we're nine months into the 9th console generation, dropping last-gen consoles wouldn't be that surprising.
