Beyond Good and Evil 2 is “Several Years Away” From Release, According to New Reports

Beyond Good & Evil 2 isn't arriving anytime soon but after Ubisoft's recent silence, one insider's claimed this upcoming sequel is still "several years away."

As spotted by Push Square, these rumours come from journalist Tom Henderson, who's best known for previously reporting on Battlefield and Call of Duty leaks. Taking to Twitter, he's now claimed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is "suffering a development crisis from a lack of creative direction."

Continuing further, Henderson mentioned that it was "worsened by Michael Ancel's departure from the studio in September 2020." Accordingly, he then stated that his sources are claiming the planned sequel's on the verge of cancellation.

While reports of a troubled development have been known for sometime, Henderson later stated that he'd since been contacted by a developer on the project, who's instead claimed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is "several years away."

At this time, Ubisoft hasn't formally commented on these reports, though if that changes, we'll be certain to keep you updated.
