Season 1 of Sea of Thieves is nearly upon us!
The popular pirate game is set for a big 2021, as it switches to seasonal content as opposed to monthly tweaks and updates.
With the massive update looming, players jumping back into the game may find themselves anchored by some server downtime.
Here's when the game will be going offline.
Sea of Thieves Server Downtime Schedule
The official Sea of Thieves Twitter account has posted an update on when the game will be going offline.
The tweet reads as follows:
"Attention pirates! The Sea of Thieves servers will be offline from approximately 10 am GMT tomorrow, Thursday 28th, so that we can usher in our inaugural Season! Please plan your Voyages accordingly."
As for how long the downtime will be, that's anyone's guess. The game has had some lengthy update periods before, but we'll soon find out.
They have not commented on how long downtime is going to take, but we can assume it will take a few hours.
There is a ton of content coming with the first season, including a new voyage type and plenty of unlockables through the new Plunder Pass.
