Everything We Know About the Awakening Fortnite Event

Fortnite is no stranger to mini events in the game. In fact, it is these mini events that actually steer the storyline forward.

Given the resurgence of the cubes in Fortnite Season 8, it was understood that they would play an important role with respect to the lore in this season.

And as the season has progressed, we've been witnessing a few smaller live events in the game. Dubbed as "The Awakening", these mini-events are very vital to the Fortnite storyline.

Here's what we know about the Awakening Fortnite event.

The cubes have coverged at The Aftermath, and it is expected that the Cube Town POI will arrive with tomorrow's Fortnite 18.21 update.

Data miner have found evidence that the Blue Cube will be able to spawn Mini-Cubes and possibly heal the Corruption created by the Purple Cubes!

The Golden Cube is now hovering over The Awakening. The final stages of Cube Town's arrival seem to have started! It also seems that Slone's IO Convoy is heading toward **REDACTED**, which may be her final destination.

The Golden Cube and the Awakening Fortnite event

The Golden Cube in Fortnite is being dubbed as the Queen for some reason. Probably because it's slightly bigger than the other cubes and is golden in color.

That being said, this Golden Cube was moving around the map, and whenever it came in contact with other cubes, it hovered in air for a while, and then there was some energy transfer between the two cubes, revealing more cubes.

This is the Awakening Fortnite event in a nutshell. According to data miners, the mini Awakening Fortnite event could possibly lead up to a bigger event in the future. This event has been codenamed as "Guava" and will probably have 7 phases.

For context, the Rift Tour had around 15 phases, and Operation Sky Fire had around 5 phases. We're not really sure what the end of the event would look like, but be prepared to see an overdose of cubes on the island by the end of it.

When it comes to the Golden Cube, however, it's already moved 100 steps and is continuously moving forward. From the looks of it. the cube will probably move around the entire island and interact with every single cube that there is.

And as it moves, it will probably end up spreading corruption with each step it takes.
