Fortnite Season 7 has been one of the most successful seasons thus far. And given the amount of hype Fortnite Season 7 has been able to generate, the time is ripe for the game to pick up another collaboration with Samsung.
Everyone remembers the last time there was a Samsung x Fortnite collaboration. Loopers with a Samsung device could participate in a Samsung only tournament. The top performers in the tournament were handed out the Galaxia skin for free.
And right now, history just might be repeating itself yet again.
Will the Fortnite Galaxia 2.0 skin be available for free?
When it comes to the Galaxia skin, not only was it awarded to top performers in the Samsung tournament, it came to the item shop later on as well.
The same thing could happen with the Fortnite Galaxia 2.0 skin as well. There is a tournament in the works. The Fortnite Galaxia Cup 2.0 tournament is expected to go live on August 29th.
You need to have a Samsung device in order to participate in the tournament. That being said, the rules say Android devices would work, but since it's a Samsung collaboration, I'm guessing it would be restricted to Samsung devices only.
Surprisingly enough, the pickaxes in the Galaxia set contain the tag "event" while the other cosmetics don't have any such tag. This is enough reason for the community to speculate about a Samsung only event.
That being said, the Galaxia 2.0 skin is set to come out during Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 itself.
According to popular data miner ShiinaBR on Twitter, the Fortnite Galaxia tournament will be happening on August 29th, as mentioned above.
And as mentioned before, the outfit, wrap and back bling will be available in the Fortnite item shop at a later date.
So there's a high chance that we might see the skin in the Fortnite item shop early in Fortnite Season 8. As mentioned before, the current season has been spectacular, and a Samsung only event is something that the community would really appreciate.
