Riot Games and Epic Games, two giants of the online gaming industry are allegedly heading into a crossover in Fortnite to celebrate the release of LOL's animated series on Netflix, Arcane.
Although previous speculations suggested that Naruto will be the next crossover in line for Fortnite Season 8, a new leak from Shiina has revealed that it will be LOL crossover instead.
Let's dive in and take a look at everything you need to know about the Fortnite x LOL Arcane Crossover in Season 8.
Although there has been no confirmation on the official date of the crossover, it is highly expected that it will happen sometime around 6th November, the same day that Arcane premieres on Netflix and Twitch.
Given that there's less than a week to go for Arcane's release on Netflix, players can start expecting an official announcement from Epic Games soon.
As of now, Shiina has revealed that Jinx from League of Legends will be the first champion to have a skin introduced in Fortnite. However, whether the skin will feature Jinx's original outfit or a different Arcane-themed appearance remains to be seen.
Having said that, it is also expected that fans will be greeted with even more skins from LOL in the future if this crossover goes well in Fortnite.
What this means for Fortnite Season 8
While Fortnite Season 8 has been an absolutely thrilling ride for all loopers, this season has also witnessed an incredibly high number of in-game collaborations. With the LOL crossover being added to the cards, Season 8 will also have a Naruto crossover soon.
This raises an extremely important question about the developers' stance on original content from the Fortnite universe.
