As Fortnite fans hit Apollo Island to complete Chapter 2, Season6, Week 7's Epic Quests, one challenge looks fairly innocent yet hides a dark secret.
The Mark Weapons of Different Rarity challenge requires players to mark a weapon of each rarity type in order to complete it.
With seven rarity types required to meet these conditions, it is smooth sailing until the final one.
How to Mark Weapons of Different Rarity
Marking items in Fortnite is easy. First, players need to point at the item they wish to mark and:
- PC: Click the middle mouse button
- Console: Hit the left D-Pad
- Mobile: Touch the Map Marker on the HUD
There are seven different rarities of weapons players need to mark to complete the Mark Weapons of Different Rarity challenge:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Mythic
- Exotic
Marking Common through Epic Weapons is fairly easy, as these are not in short supply during a match.
Legendary Weapons and Exotic Weapons are a bit more difficult, requiring players to hit up NPCs to access these rarities.
A great place to obtain a Legendary Weapon is to hit up Jonesy the First to upgrade an Epic Weapon to a Legendary one.
Players then need to drop the weapon and mark it.
With enough Gold Bars players can upgrade a Common Weapon all the way up to Legendary.
For an Exotic Weapon, one of the best bets is to grab the Uncommon Bow from Rebirth Raven for 500 Gold Bars.
While this is the newest weapon in Fortnite, Rebirth Raven's location still sees very little player activity, making it a safe bet to land, purchase, and mark the Exotic Weapon.
By following the above, Fortnite players will mark six of the seven weapon rarity types in the game.
That leaves just one more to mark...
Marking a Mythic Weapon in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6
There is currently only one Mythic Weapon on Apollo Island, and that is an Explosive Bow in the hands of Glyph Master Raz.
The only way to obtain, thus mark, this Mythic Weapon is the beat Glyph Master Raz in combat or take down the previous player who did and took his bow.
This is not as easy as it sounds, as Glyph Master Raz is one of the toughest NPC fights Fortnite has ever offered up.
Raz has a ton of shields, an explosive bow, and a health-draining attack that ignores shields.
It is best to take him on with a Squad, though it is possible to beat him solo.
While beating Raz is tough, trying to find a player who already beat him to steal the bow is much harder.
Follow our guide on How to defeat Glyph Master Raz and collect the Spire Artifact to obtain and mark the Mythic Bow as early in a match as possible.
For those players who have the Battle Pass, defeating Glyph Master Raz at the end of The Spire Quests will also earn them the Glyph Master Raz style for Raz.
