It's not really Fortnitemares if you don't have a version of Midas involved in it. Midas has been one of the most popular characters in Fortnite and his absence from the game has been very much noticeable.
That being said, Epic Games decided to bring back a popular version of Midas known as Shadow Midas for Fortnitemares 2021.
This snapshot of Midas was a boss back in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4, and hasn't been seen in the game since then. Although Shadow Midas isn't an NPC in Fortnite, his presence is always welcome.
How to get the Shadow Midas Fortnite skin?
Interestingly enough, the only way you can get your hands on the Shadow Midas Fortnite skin is by purchasing it from the Fortnite item shop.
Given it's popularity, the Shadow Midas Fortnite skin has been priced at a staggering 1,500 V-Bucks. The only downside to this is the absence of a back bling with this skin.
Epic Games started the trend of offering back blings with skins recently. The Shadow Midas Fortnite skin is one of those few skins that has managed to break the said trend.
However, where the skin lacks in being coupled with a back bling, it makes up with reactivity. The new Shadow Midas Fortnite skin is reactive in nature.
With every kill that you score, there is an eerie purple aura that grows around the skin. And this keeps growing till the entire skin is covered in purple aura.
What's more interesting is that you can turn this feature off as and when you want to.
Overall, the arrival of Shadow Midas has made Fortnitemares 2021 even better than what it was.
