Fortnite Refer-A-Friend is back in 2021 with a marvelous opportunity for players to earn the exclusive Rainbow Racer outfit in the game. In order to receive this free skin, players will need to invite their eligible Fortnite Friends who haven't played the game much in the last 30 days.
Following the invitation, both the referred friend as well as the player themself will need to complete certain in-game tasks. Once these tasks have been completed, both the players will receive exclusive in-game rewards.
However, players must note that there is a specific eligibility criteria for the player that you refer. Let's dive in and check out what makes a player eligible to be referred for the Fortnite Refer-A-Friend in-game event.
Eligibility for Fortnite Refer-A-Friend
As stated by Fortnite, the basic criteria to refer a specific player is that they must have played less than 120 minutes of Fortnite Battle Royale in the last 30 days. The same criteria also applies for new players. Once a player crosses 120 minutes in the Battle Royale island, they can no longer be referred for the in-game event.
Additionally, there's an entire series of eligibility criteria that players can check in case they find themselves off the list of eligible players.
How long is Fortnite Refer-A-Friend Available?
The Refer-A-Friend event in Fortnite is currently live and players can feel free to register at anytime before 11:59 PM Eastern Time on 14th November 2021.
However, registered players will have until 11:59 PM Eastern Time on 10th January 2022 to complete their in-game tasks and collect their exclusive rewards.
Fortnite Refer-A-Friend Tasks
As has been revealed by various Fortnite data miners, there are five available tasks that players need to complete to earn their exclusive rewards. These tasks are:
- Create a Connection
- Play 1 game in Fortnite with a friend
- Place in the Top 10 at least three times with your friend
- Eliminate 10 enemies with your friend
- Gain 60 in-game levels and wait for your friend to gain 60 levels too.
Considering the nature of these tasks, players shouldn't face much trouble in completing them before time runs out.
