Fortnite World Cup 2021: Dates, Prize Pool, Game Modes, Location, Qualifiers, Venue, Players, Tickets, Format, and Everything You Need To Know!

Over a year ago we witnessed the pinnacle of competitive Fortnite, with one of the world's largest esports events at the time.

The Fortnite World Cup 2019 was a massive success for everyone, it was viewed by millions worldwide and tens of thousands in a sold-out venue.

Now, with the on-going global pandemic; Epic was forced to cancel this year's event, but there is still hope for next year.

Should Epic be allowed to host another World Cup; all eyes will once again be on the best players from all walks of life.

Here's everything we know about the potential Fortnite World Cup 2021!

As of now, we do not have any news on the start dates for the 2021 Fortnite World Cup.

If it goes ahead, we can assume the finals will be held sometime next Summer, similar to the 2019 one.

In terms of qualifier dates, we can again assume it will happen three to four months before the finals.

So sometime around April!

Game Modes

Since the last World Cup, Epic has experimented with different game modes in the seasonal FNCS events.

It is still a mystery which one of the four-game modes will be chosen, but we can assume Solos is all but certain.

Whether they chose to implement two more game modes is unknown as of now, but they will have to pick from either:

  • Duos
  • Trios
  • Squads

Prize Pool

The 2019 Fortnite World Cup had one of the largest prize pools in all of esports, and hopefully this is the case yet again.

Something tells us the prize pool will be larger, as top organizations such as G2 Esports and Cloud9 have signed multiple players as of late.

Perhaps they know something we do not?

If events are allowed to take place next Summer due to the global pandemic, there are multiple locations where the finals may be held.

These seem to be the best options:

  • New York City
  • London
  • Paris
  • Japan
  • Los Angeles

Given the location, Epic is bound to choose a massive stadium like the Arthur Ashe stadium, which was home to the 2019 Fortnite World Cup.
