It is time to get wild on Apollo Island with Fornite's Wild Weeks kicking off today, May 6, 2021.
Each week new gameplay dynamics will be in the spotlight, making players rethink how they normally play the game.
Wild Weeks - Fighting Fire With Fire
Fortnite's Wild Weeks kick off with Week 1: FIgbhting Fire with Fire.
For one week, May 6, 2021 - May 13, 2021, Apollo Island will be filled with extra weapons and items that cause fires.
That means more Gas Canisters, Fireflies, Flame Bows, and Propane Tanks.
Fires will also deal more damage and spread more quickly.
Oh, the Flare Gun is also coming back to the game, but only during Week 1 of Fortnite's Wild Weeks.
Considering how two of the Week 8 Challenges for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6 have to do with settings things on fire, this Wild Week's theme fits nicely in.
Future Fortnite Wild Weeks
With Week 1 underway, future Wild Weeks will take place on:
- Week 2: May 13, 2021
- Week 3: May 20, 2021
- Week 4: June 3, 2021
The themes for these weeks have not been revealed yet, but they are sure to be exciting.
With four different types of special bows in Fortnite in Season 6, the Wild Week themes may correspond with those.

Fortnite Season 6 Primal
Chapter 2, Season 6 sees Agent Jones teaming up with The Foundation, the leader of The Seven to figure out what's going on with the Zero Point and escape The Loop.
At the same time, a strange wildness spreads over Apollo Island, bringing with it dangerous creatures that now roam the island.
Players must battle their opponents, hunting wildlife and crafting more powerful weapons to come out on top with a Victory Royale
