Fortnite is no stranger to collaborations. In fact, Fortnite is probably the only game to have managed to build a metaverse for itself thanks to the sheer number of collaborations it's participated in.

From Venom to Carnage to Batman, the list of collaborations in Fortnite is practically endless. That being said, Dune has managed to make a spot for itself on that list of collaborations.

While the Fortnite Dune collaboration comes as a surprise for the entire community, Epic Games kept dropping hints about it.

Everything we know about the Fortnite Dune collaboration

This is probably the first time that we will be seeing such a diverse collaboration in Fortnite Season 8.

Based on the leaks that we've seen thus far, there are a total of nine cosmetics that will be coming to the Fortnite item shop. These cosmetics will be divided into two bundles which are as follows:

  • Dune Bundle
  • Dune Gear Bundle

The Dune bundle will probably be containing the Chani and the Paul Atreides Fortnite skins. While the gear bundles will be containing the other cosmetics like the pick axes, gliders and back blings.

Here is a complete list of the cosmetics that you could expect as a part of the Fortnite Dune collaboration.

  • Chani (Outfit)
  • Paul Atreides (Outfit)
  • Chani's Satchel (Backpack)
  • Fremkit (Backpack)
  • Sand Walk (Emote)
  • Ornithopter (Glider)
  • Maker Hooks (Harvesting Tool)
  • Twinblades (Harvesting Tool)
  • The Stickworm (Loading Screen)

We don't have any expected date of arrival for the Dune bundle in Fortnite Season 8. However, it's okay to expect this collaboration to take place after the Fortnite 18.30 update.

Will the Fortnite Dune collaboration bring in a new biome and wildlife?

It's hard to say that the collaboration won't be doing such a thing. There is apparently a new item shop background that is in the works.

This background will be going live once the Fortnite Dune collaboration takes place. Secondly, we've been hearing rumors of an upcoming desert biome in Fortnite. And this could be a trailer for the same.

Interestingly enough, since we're talking about Dune here, there's a chance that we may see the Sandworm turn into a reality in Fortnite Season 8.

Popular Fortnite data miner Hypex spoke about a new wildlife that was in development. And according to him, this wildlife transforms in and out.

Now, the Sandworm doesn't really transform in and out, but it definitely burrows in and out of the sand. And secondly, we have a loading screen depicting the same.

So it's not really that difficult to expect the arrival of the Sandworm once the Dune collaboration goes live.
