Fortnite Season 8 is seeing a host of NPCs coming to the island. The roster isn't quite complete yet, but it soon will be.
We've seen all sorts of NPCs during this season, most of which are in sync with the theme of the current season itself. That being said, leaks hint at the arrival of a new NPC.
The origin of this NPC remains a mystery and from the looks of it, this NPC does have a trick or two up their sleeve.
Everything we know about the Fortnite EightBall NPC
The NPC that the developers are working on currently is being dubbed as the EightBall NPC. Quite true to the name, this NPC has an eight ball for a head.
There isn't a proper release date for this NPC yet. However, it should release sometime over the course of this season. That being said, this NPC will probably be carrying an SMG.
The background image on which this NPC is displayed is quite in sync with the current Fortnitemares 2021 event that we're seeing in the game right now. So there seems to be a high chance that Epic Games could release this NPC over the duration of this event itself.
Given that the next big update in Fortnite happens to be the Fortnite 18.30 update, there's a chance that we may see the EightBall NPC in the upcoming update itself.
Now, since HYPEX has already mentioned that this NPC will be carrying an SMG, it raises a question about this character's affinity towards loopers. Will it be a friendly? Or will it be hostile? This is something that remains to be seen.
And we'll know more about the NPC once it goes live in Fortnite Season 8.
Interestingly enough, this skin does look like a remake of the 8-Ball skin from Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1. Epic Games is known to re-release old skins after certain periods of time.
And since this NPC is in the works, there is a high chance that we'll be seeing a skin associated with the EightBall Fortnite NPC.
So if the EightBall NPC skin doesn't come out in Fortnite Season 8, there's a high chance that it will make a grand entry in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 10.
That being said, all of this is just mere speculation at this point of time. So all we need to do right now is wait and watch for more leaks and hints about this NPC.
