Fortnite Leaks Hint At A Possible Collaboration With Extraction

It looks like Epic Games is on a roll. It's just been a few hours since the Free Guy x Fortnite skin was announced.

Following up to the announcement, data miners have now discovered another mesh in the files. This mesh could mean that there is another collaboration that is in the works.

Epic Games is very secretive when it comes to their collaborations. However, thanks to the data miners, the community is always updated when it comes to any sort of collaborations.

Update - September 27th, 2021

The earlier speculations of a collaboration between Fortnite and Extraction might just be true. Fortnite Season 8 is seeing a steady influx of movie characters.

And given that Netflix just released the trailer for Extraction 2, there's a high chance that the Chris Hemsworth Fortnite skin may come to the game when the movie releases.

Everything we know about the Fortnite x Extraction collaboration

First of all, there isn't a specific date for this collaboration till now. Data miners have just discovered a file within the Free Guy files itself.

The mesh or the file in question resembles Chris Hemsworth's character from Extraction. The armor they wear is the same, and most importantly, they've got the same tattoo as well.

Since this mesh exists, we know that an Extraction themed skin will come to Fortnite if the collaboration happens. However, anything more than that is still unknown.

That's all the information we have for now with respect to this collaboration. We'll update this piece as and when we have more information.

However, this could also be a ruse. According to some individuals on Twitter, Epic Games loves to troll data miners. And this could be a gag.

Individuals believe that the Family Guy files that were spotted within the Fortnite files a few months back were a ruse too.

But then again, if this were to be a ruse Epic Games wouldn't have taken the trouble to design a mesh for the Extraction skin.

To top it off, the foundation for this collaboration was laid down back in August last year. Donald Mustard himself tweeted about a potential collaboration with Extraction.

It looks like the collaboration was in plain sight but it took us an entire year to notice it.

We'll know more about this collaboration in the near future. Maybe the Fortnite 17.40 update will shed more light on the same.
