Where To Find The Rail Gun in Fortnite

The rail gun is one of the newest weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7. It shoots a high powered projectile.

Although this is a very powerful weapon, the rail gun has a few major drawbacks. These drawbacks can often cost you the game. But where do you find the rail gun in Fortnite?

Where to find the Rail Gun in Fortnite?

For now, there are only two ways in which you can find the rail gun. The first method is by looting the I.O. chests. The other method is by collecting this weapon from downed enemies.

When it comes to looting the I.O. chests, you'll find these in special I.O. controlled buildings like Defiant Dish. The best part about Defiant Dish is that you will find Rick Sanchez here as well.

You can walk up to him and acquire quests. He can also activate rifts, if you have enough gold that is.

When it comes to the rail gun, this weapon comes in three different rarities namely: Rare, Epic and Legendary. Although it's a single shot reload weapon, it can shoot through walls.

This makes the weapon seriously overpowered. However, the weapon needs to charge up completely before you can fire a shot, and the reload time is also high. Not only that, it shoots a lazer a couple of seconds before you actually get to fire the shot.

This wait time between the laser and the bullet is enough for the enemy to spot you and attack you. So if you want to catch someone off guard, you need to be very sneaky about it.

That being said, you still need to be lucky to hit someone with this weapon. But if you do manage to hit someone, and eliminate them, you'll end up completing a Fortnite weekly quest.
