As the Epic Quests of the final week of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7, go live, players have a final chance to push their Battle Pass levels up in hopes to obtain every single item available with their hard-earned Battle Stars.
One of the more simple Epic Quests this week is to purchase a Rift from an NPC.
How to Activate a Rift After Purchasing It From a Character
The title of this challenge is a bit misleading.
Once a player purchases a Rift from an NPC, it automatically activates, sending them up into the air to drop back down on Apollo Island.
There is no need to do anything other than select the "Purchase Rift" option from an NPC on the island and confirm the use of the Gold Bars.
Characters that give players an option to purchase a Rift are:
- Rick: On the top floor of the large building at Defiant Dish.
- Beast Boy: On the large bridge on the western side of Weeping Woods.
- Bunker Jonesy: In a small log cabin south of Alpine Ski
- Joey: Joey bounces between the trailers at Believer Beach and Dirty Docks
- Hayseed: At Hayseed (Steel) Farm
- Guggimon: Just north of the lighthouse on the northern end of the island.
Once a player purchases a Rift, they will be rewarded with a cool 30,000 XP.
