Top 5 Weapons In Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, just like the previous season, shook the weapons meta for good. The primal weapons left the building, after a lackluster performance.

Personally, I miss the bows. But the snipers made a comeback so that's a huge bonus.

That being said, a few other weapons were also added in this season, along with the ability to side-grade weapons. Taking everything into account, there are a few weapons I'd love to get my hands on during this season, while there are a few I can't be bothered about.

Without further ado, here are my top 5 weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.

Top 5 weapons in Fortnite

#1 Tactical Shotgun

The Tactical Shotgun has been around since the latter half of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6. I prefer this over the Pump because I find it more reliable than the Pump. That, and it looks cooler! Overall, this gun is an all-rounder, and unlike the Pump, it doesn't have a learning curve.

#2 Suppressed SMG

The Suppressed SMG is the basic SMG that you will come across on the island. It's got a very high rate of fire, and is accurate at close to mid range distances. The high rate of fire is the best part about this weapon, because it'll allow you to lay down cover fire quickly. Not only that, you can also sneak some shots in if you're quick enough.

#3 Assault Rifle

Personally, I've always been an Assault Rifle person. The assault rifles in the game are pretty accurate and deal a decent amount of damage. The damage does go up with the rarity, but then again, the green assault rifle is a formidable weapon in itself. If you're lucky enough to get the Scar however, then you've struck gold in Fortnite.

#4 Recon Scanner

As a single weapon, this doesn't do much. You could kill someone if you hit them directly with a beacon but we all know the chances of that happening are next to zero. Other than that, this weapon reveals enemies in a small radius. This weapon can prove to be a nice asset towards the later stages of the game in Fortnite.

#5 Rail Gun

I know you've been waiting for this weapon. Truth be told this weapon is overpowered for the game at this point of time but that's okay. Epic Games will probably nerf it over the course of the season. This has the ability to take down two surfaces, so those sweaty builds aren't safe at all. That being said, you pair this up with the Recon Scanner and you got yourself a dynamic duo. This duo can guarantee you that elusive victory royale!

We're still way too early in the season to be coming up with a top 5. However, these five weapons have the potential to dominate the meta for the entire season. That being said, we'll keep on updating this as the season progresses.
