New Season On iOS
Unfortunately Epic has confirmed there will not be a Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 4 for iOS or macOS.
This is due to the ongoing legal fights with Apple over in-app payment processing and other issues.
Apple has blocked Epic from posting updates and new installs to the App Store.
Many fans suspected this to be the case when the drama came to a head and Epic Games mentioned legal action.
“Apple is blocking Fortnite updates and new installs on the App Store, and has said they will terminate our ability to develop Fortnite for Apple devices. As a result, Fortnite’s newly released Chapter 2 - Season 4 update (v14.00), will not release on iOS and macOS on August 27,” reads a new update on Epic’s FAQ.
The new season of Fortnite will start on the 27th of August 2020, the update will begin at 7am BST.
Season 2 Chapter 4 will still be available on all other platforms, Xbox, PlayStation Switch and Andriod.
