Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3: Map Changes That NEED To Be Made To Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 will be here before we know it, and hopefully, it'll bring some major changes to the map.

That way, things will remain exciting and new, and we'll have a bunch of new (or old) POIs to explore, and things will be refreshed after a particularly long Season 2.

Without further ado, here's our wishlist of what we want to see from Season 3's map - some realistic, and some not so much...

Changes To Existing POIs

What we expect to happen in Season 3, is the ongoing story to continue. So, either Ghost or Shadow will wrest control of the island, or a third party will enter the fray, forcing both sides to team up and beat the greater evil. With that in mind, here are some of our ideas:

Ruined POIs

You guessed it, we want existing POIs to be destroyed. The new secret bases specifically. We want to see what war has left behind.

The smoking ruins of The Rig. Shattered glass and steel beams are all that remains of The Agency.

However, Epic could take this a step further. Perhaps it wasn't another team of secret agents that did all this, perhaps it was monsters?

A Kraken took down The Yacht, a Kaiju marched on The Grotto, and the Meg took a giant bite out of The Shark. This seems a little far-fetched but could be a cool way of uniting the warring factions.

Other Changes

However, it's not just the Secret Agent locations that we'd like to see changes to. Other popular locations could use a facelift, too.

For starters, Slurpy Swamps is just too good a landing spot. All the shield-restoring swamps make it simply too good to be true.

Perhaps the sheer concentration of Slurp Juice being pumped out turns the swamps poisonous rather than restorative?

Or perhaps it was a key target for one of the secret agent teams, and was caught in the fighting, destroying its vital machinery.

In the opposite sense, Retail Row just doesn't seem worth dropping into these days.

Adding some more interesting stuff there could make it a better spot, but it's hard to say exactly what.

Perhaps Team Shadow could see it as a potential communications hub and start building there, or converting the shops into weapons factories. I'm just spitballing here, but something needs to happen.

New POIs

What's more exciting than a new POI? Nothing, and I won't hear any different. Now, we've no idea what new POIs might spring up, but anything could be exciting.

We hope they'll either fill the empty spaces or replace some of the older POIs (Retail Row - looking at you).

On the other hand, it could be fun to see some classic POIs return. Tilted Towers anyone? That was a joke. Unless...

More Mobility

While the 12.20 patch did add Choppas to Fortnite, the mobility still seems lacking. Because, as fun as it is to shout "Get to the Choppa" in your best Arnie voice to your teammates, the helicopters themselves were a little lacklustre.

What we need is more mobility, the ability to get between POIs fast, or more to do in between them. There's just no fun running for minutes with nothing to do other than farm the occasional tree.

Be it quad bikes, jetpacks, or more small buildings or mini-bases between POIs, let's make those journeys to the circle less boring, please.
