There are loads of new announcements, including Limited-Time modes and bug fixes, so players should be happy with the work Epic is doing behind the scenes; with even a few nods to Chapter 2 Season 3.

However, there's also plenty of new weapons and events lurking in the game code that we expect to see soon enough.

Without further ado, here's what Fortnite v12.50 has in store!

The biggest change is a nerf to Aim Assist, something players have been calling for for a long time. A message to players reads:

"This build includes an AA change which makes 240hz AA act like 60hz AA, which does impact target acquisition. Investigations and tests are ongoing regarding aim assist, and your feedback is appreciated."

This LTM has been in the works for a while, as shown by its status in the game files. Either called The Arsenic or Infected, it's a new Limited-Time Mode where players can be turned into zombies and everyone else has to survive.

New Weapons In Fortnite: Battle Royale

Fortnite v12.50 may introduce a Silenced version of fan favourite Dual Pistols.

There have been a couple of new weapons in the game's code since the v12.40 update when they were leaked by dataminers.

The first is dual pistols like you've never seen them before - they have silencers. Handy if you're sneaking up on an enemy, they'll likely take the shape of something similar to Deadpool's Pistols.

However, the other weapon is a little more exciting. The Charge Shotgun deals huge damage - which increases when you charge it up. Leaker HYPEX found the maths of how the damage stacks up, and it looks to be big.

Rumours suggest the Charge Shotgun could be of Mythic rarity, due to the huge damage it can do.
